Showcase Sunday #24

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme held by Books, Biscuits and Tea. It allows fellow bloggers to show off any books or bookish things they've compiled over the week.

GOLD!!!! #WeAreWinter
So like most of Canada, was up super early this morning to watch the game. #CanadaProud
And now, like every time the Olympics are over, I don't know what to do with my life. Been super immersed in them. #Whatislife
Also went to an author event yesterday for Morgan Rhodes/Michelle Rowen, Lesley Livingston and Eve Silver. Only about 10 of us there. So that was pretty cool.

Purchased

Tidal(Watersong #3) by Amanda Hocking
Furries of Calderon(Codex Alera #1) by Kim Butcher
Terrier(Beka Copper #1) by Tamora Pierce

Wait For You(Wait For You #1) by J.Lynn
Splendors and Glooms by Laura Amy Schlitz

E-Books Purchased
I already owned Wait For You on my Kindle. I also just read it and loved it. Than I was walking around my book store and saw it there and it says "signed first edition." So obviously not passing that up!
Let me know if you've read any of these. Also what you got this book. Or hook me up to your weekly haul.

Happy reading!

Brittany

  1. I'm glad you had fun at the signing! :D
Haha! Well you definitely don't pass up a signed edition if it's a book you really love :)
Is the Watersong series good? I've been meaning to start it for a while, but I've heard mixed things about it so I'm kind of unsure. The cover for Splendors and Glooms is so pretty <3
Great haul, Brittany! Happy reading :D

That's always my main draw for MG books, the covers. They are always so fantastic!

I need all my books to be signed. :)
Yea, it was a bookstore that many people wouldn't journey too. But that's okay, small and intimate. Much better.
Me too! I can't believe I've yet to read her yet.

  3. Awesome purchases! I really wish authors would come to Fargo more, I am sure that it is more fun to tour in places that aren't windy and freezing!

Well I live outside Toronto and this time of year is not pleasant either. But I guess because these were Canadian authors, they're use to it anyhow. :)

I've embarrassingly never read Pierce before. But that's going to change!

  6. Jealous of those signed books as I only have one signed book which so needs to change. I have a couple of those books that need reading. Hope you enjoy all your new books :)

  9. My boss is Canadian and she was so into the Winter Olympics hype (as an Australian it's not that dominant on my radar), and it was super fun to see her getting so excited!

Splendors and Glooms looks good - i LOVE that cover!

I haven't even start the Watersong series yet. Oooops... But having un-finished series is annoying. Just want to finish them all! :)
